 Coleraine & District DTC Open Obedience Show Congratulations to Lynda and Rinci on winning Class A and to Jennifer and Mac on winning Novice at Coleraine Open Obedience Show yesterday.

 Castlereagh and District DTC Agility show Congratulation to Anne and Clancy who won Medium grade 1-5 Jumping and Karen and Tess who won Medium 4-7 Agility at Castlereagh Agility show on Saturday.

 Northern Agility dog of the Year Awards Top Dog Hugh congratulations to Brenda and Megan on winning the Large grade 1-3 Agility dog of the Year award in the restructured Northern Agility Awards. They were also 5th overall in the combined Agility/Jumping category. The awards were presented recently at an Interclub dinner.

 John Mellor A few words. Club members were very saddened at the recent death of John Mellor, a long time member of the club. John and Meg joined the club just over 10 years ago, taking their various Good Citizen Awards and going on to become active participants in Agility. John loved the training sessions with Meg but got frustrated by all the 'hanging around' that competing at shows entailed. He participated in and enjoyed all the demos we have done over the years and was always there at our our annual shows to help.
Latterly, even though he was not up to handling Meg himself, he enjoyed seeing others working her, most noticably young Andrew, who learnt all his early agility training with Meg. John was a familiar figure, sitting in his chair and issuing advice and instructions to whoever was working with Meg at the time.
He also took great pleasure in the club social events: the Christmas parties and after show barbecues, as many of the photographs in club archives show.
He will be greatly missed by us all and our thoughts are with Rosemary and family members at this sad time

 Ballyrawer Show Obedience Well done Jillian and Bella on winning Class C at Ballyrawer show yesterday. Not bad for a 12 year old!

 All Ireland Winter League Medium Dog success Congratulations to Anne and Clancy on winning the overall Medium Dog Jumping in the All Ireland Winter League and in coming 3rd in the overall Medium Dog Agility.

 Down DIstrict DTC Obedience show It was a lovely day for our own first Obedience show of the year and we had 2 first place successes. Vicky and Ali were successful in winning Class B and coming 2nd in Class A, thus winning out of Class A and Lynda and Rinci had their second Novice win, moving them into Class A. Congratulations to them both.
